Dr. Yakubu Balogun is a Chartered Engineer (CEng), a recognised UK Global Talent Visa alumnus, and an experienced professional with a strong passion for people development, purposeful leadership, and community empowerment. With a background that spans academia, industry, and public service, he has spent several years helping individuals and organisations grow through data-informed decision-making, strategic thinking, and continuous improvement.
Beyond his technical career, Yakubu is widely known for his work in coaching, mentoring, and capacity-building, particularly among students, young professionals, and international communities settling in the UK. He regularly supports individuals in areas such as career planning, job readiness, UK workplace integration, and long-term personal development. His ability to simplify complex career pathways and provide tailored guidance has made him a trusted mentor to many.
Yakubu is committed to empowering people to discover purpose, build confidence, and thrive in new environments. He brings a warm leadership style rooted in faith, integrity, and service, ensuring that every engagement reflects compassion, excellence, and genuine care for people.
As Chair of G-Light Ambassadors Aberdeen, he provides strategic direction, governance oversight, and vision for community programmes that uplift, educate, and equip members for success in life and society. Victoria Akanuoh is a finance and governance professional with an MSc in Accounting & Finance and a BSc in Accounting. She is currently a Team Leader with Voluntary Service Aberdeen (VSA), bringing strong leadership and organisational experience.
Experienced in financial stewardship, governance, risk management, internal controls and reporting.
Former Internal Audit & Compliance Manager, supporting senior management and board-level decision-making.
Holds professional qualifications in ISO 31000 Risk Management, ISO 9001 and ISO 45001.
Committed to accountability, transparency and sound financial governance.
Passionate about community development, mentoring and empowering individuals and communities.
As volunteer Finance Trustee, she supports G-Light Ambassadors' financial oversight, governance and long-term sustainability.

Adebayo

Pastor Mrs. Adebola Adebayo is a compassionate and dedicated leader, combining her vocation as a registered nurse in the NHS with her calling as a spiritual mentor and community servant. Over the years, she has cared for patients with professionalism, empathy, and integrity, while also investing deeply in the spiritual growth of her community through her pastoral leadership. In her role as a nurse, Adebola demonstrates excellence, patience, and a service-oriented mindset—traits that translate powerfully into her work with G-Light Ambassadors. Her medical background gives her insight into vulnerability, suffering, and healing, and she uses that experience to bring a caring, holistic perspective to our board. As a spiritual leader, Pastor Mrs. Adebola nurtures, encourages, and prays for young professionals, students, and families. Her leadership is rooted in humility, faith, and a commitment to walking alongside people in both their spiritual and personal journeys. She offers wise counsel, mentoring, and emotional support, helping others to build strong, faith-grounded foundations as they navigate life’s challenges.On the board of trustees, Mrs. Adebayo lends her voice to strategy, pastoral care, and community outreach. She guides our faith-based initiatives, encourages servant leadership, and helps ensure that our programmes reflect both gospel values and practical care.
Dr. Onoto Onimisi

Dr. Onoto Onimisi is a medical doctor with a deep passion for supporting, mentoring, and inspiring young people. Over the years, he has served with various youth organisations, student groups, and community initiatives in different leadership and volunteer capacities, helping young people grow in confidence, purpose, and character. Beyond his work in medicine, Onoto is an active youth leader in his local church, where he enjoys creating spaces for young people to connect, learn, and develop their potential. He is also a passionate lover of music and has a heart for service and a genuine interest in supporting the next generation.
Dr. Emmanuel
Eke
Programme Trustee
Emmanuel is a data and energy professional with a PhD in Offshore Decommissioning. With over 15 years’ experience in teaching, data, and engineering across academic and professional settings, he is passionate about using data analytics to enhance decision-making and empowering individuals through knowledge dissemination. After a brief stint in the UK energy sector as a Decommissioning Consultant with Xodus, he now works as an Advanced Programmes Instructor at Multiverse where he delivers data science and data engineering knowledge to apprentices. Outside of work, Emmanuel unwinds through sports and sight-seeing.
